With summer in full swing, London’s immersive scene is stepping up its game.
This August, dive into fantastical realms inspired by your favourite TV shows, films and video games – and watch the screen fade as you become part of the story!

1. Secret Cinema’s Grease
Since its launch in 2011, immersive pioneer Secret Cinema has reimagined over 60 films, drawing 1.5 million fans into the living sets of their favourite movies. This summer, it’s back with Grease: The Immersive Movie Musical (1 Aug-7 Sep), taking over Evolution London in Battersea Park. Walk into Rydell High and straight into the action, as a cast of 30 surrounds you and transforms every inch of the set into a living, breathing world. With live music, a summer fairground and hearty, classic American diner-inspired food and drinks, every memorable scene and song unfolds before your eyes – fusing cinema and live action to create a Summer Night like no other.

2. Race Across the World
Explore London like never before in Race Across the World: The Experience, inspired by the acclaimed TV series. Team up to navigate the city on foot, solve puzzles and uncover hidden gems – all while avoiding public transport. Clues and directions will arrive through WhatsApp, with only correct answers allowing you to proceed. Use in-game currency to choose your path, tackle escape-room-style challenges and regroup and refuel at checkpoints before continuing the race.

3. Phantom Peak
For a more laid-back adventure, head to Canada Water where you’ll find Phantom Peak, a multi-level, Wild West-themed ‘town’. Wander its steampunk streets filled with live actors, hidden secrets and unfolding stories. From decoding clues on interactive trails to lending a hand to quirky residents or unwinding by the waterfall, the experience is yours to direct. There are at least 10 trails to discover, plus carnival games, crafted cocktails and delicious treats, in this unique setting that invites you to explore at your leisure. Check the roleplaying guidelines if you want to dress up.

4. Traitors
Finally, The Traitors: Live Experience has opened in Covent Garden, and as you’d expect from the official immersive experience inspired by the famous TV show, nothing (and no one) is as it seems. Face exciting secret challenges and mind games in a tense battle of trust and betrayal. Will you triumph as a Faithful or deceive as a Traitor? Beware: your closest ally could be your worst enemy.

5. Fawlty Towers anniversary special
To mark the 50th anniversary of the beloved BBC sitcom Fawlty Towers, a limited release of £50 tickets is now available for Faulty Towers the Dining Experience for shows from January to May 2026 at the President Hotel in Bloomsbury. This acclaimed, multi-award-winning immersive theatre production continues to bring the hilarious antics of Basil, Sybil and Manuel to life alongside a nostalgic ‘70s-style three-course meal.
Performed for over 13 years in London, it remains the longest-running immersive show inspired by a TV series, delighting audiences with its classic British comedy. As part of the anniversary celebrations, a special show will take place in Torquay – the series’ original setting – on 19 September at the Osborne Hotel. VIP packages are available, including a Lord and Lady experience for one lucky couple.
