At Paddington Station, the story begins where it always has – beneath the clock on Platform 1, beside the bronze statue that marks the spot where the Browns first found him. Just steps away, the Paddington Store offers a charming detour, stocked with everything from classic, cuddly bears to marmalade-laced souvenirs and an exclusive collection of Lost & Found Paddington goodies. Platform 1 is the perfect stop for a selfie with the statue or an adorable bear-shaped souvenir to take home.
For something more theatrical, The Official Paddington Bear Experience on the South Bank brings the stories vividly to life. Set within a full-scale recreation of key locations, you’ll journey from Paddington Station on a full-size train carriage and travel through the capital to 32 Windsor Gardens, the Browns’ family home, where you’ll be greeted by interactive rooms full of familiar faces from the beloved books. The Peruvian jungle is the next destination, to collect some oranges for Mrs Bird, before ending up at the Marmalade Day Festival.
To dive even deeper into the world of this much-loved bear, get down to the Savoy Theatre to catch the Olivier Award-winning Paddington
the Musical. This West End hit adds another layer to the bear’s ever-expanding universe. Based on the books and critically acclaimed films, the show is directed by Luke Sheppard, with original songs by Tom Fletcher and a book by Olivier Award winner Jessica Swale. Expect catchy tunes, comic chaos and dazzling dancing.
For a lighter touch, the Paddington Afternoon Tea London Sightseeing Tour offers a gently themed spin through the city’s landmarks.
