For over 250 years, the Royal Academy of Arts has existed to champion art and artists.

The RA is run by the Royal Academicians, artists and architects elected by their peers in recognition of their exceptional work. Home to Britain’s longest established art school, the RA Schools.

Every year since 1768 the annual Summer Exhibition has been held and is the largest open-submission art exhibition in the world. Attractive building with varied collection works. Check regularly for new exhibitions.

Until 2 January: The world’s most joyful exhibition is back. The RA Summer Exhibition 2021 showcases work by leading artists, household names, new and emerging talent.
From 23 October: Rediscover the power and presence of architectural wonders by Le Corbusier, Zaha Hadid RA and others through Hélène Binet’s photographic lens in Light Lines: The Architectural Photographs of Hélène Binet
