Dedicated to science, technology and medical achievements, with a Red Arrows 3D flight simulator and an IMAX theatre showing 3D science films. The Wellcome Galleries include Fleming’s penicillin mould and the world’s first MRI scanner.

To 20 Mar 2022: Amazônia. A breathtaking photography exhibition of Sebastião Salgado – winner of the 2021 Praemium Imperiale Award for painting – and his celebration of the indigenous peoples and landscapes of the Brazilian rainforest.

2-19 Apr 2022: Power UP. Hands-on, fully interactive event featuring 160 consoles from five decades… Game on. Try Pong, Pacman, Minecraft, Mario and more.

To 5 Jun 2022: Ancient Greeks: Science and Wisdom. Step back through millennia in this free exhibition and learn how this ancient civilisation questioned, contemplated and debated the natural world. On Friday 6 May, enjoy Live: An evening of ancient Greek music (7.30pm-9.30pm), brought to life by some world-class performers of ancient instruments.

To Sep 2022: Our Future Planet. Discover the different technologies that scientists are racing to develop in the fight against climate change.

 

Opening 25 May 2022: Cancer Revolution: Science, innovation and hope. A groundbreaking new exhibition that reveals the past, present and future of cancer prevention, detection and treatment. Featuring more than 100 objects and personal accounts.

Opening 6 Oct 2022: Science Fiction: Voyage to the edge of imagination. Embark on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure through the cosmos and explore visions of the future through the science of today. An immersive, genre-defying exhibition with you placed at the heart of an exciting sci-fi story, guided by artificial intelligence.

 

Please note: during school holidays, the Museum is open daily 10am-6pm (last entry 5.15pm).
