Kickstart the new year at London’s New Year’s Day Parade, which promises to be the biggest and best yet, delivering a thrilling celebration that families won’t want to miss on 1 January
Since its launch in 1987, LNYDP has become a staple in the city’s festive calendar – and this year’s edition is no exception, featuring more than 8,000 performers, offering a jaw-dropping three-and-a-half hours of world-class entertainment – all completely free!
Get ready for an unforgettable start to 2025 as global sensation Peter Andre takes centre stage at the iconic London’s New Year’s Day Parade. Fans can look forward to Peter Andre’s special appearance, where he’ll have the crowds singing along to timeless hits like Mysterious Girl.
Alongside Andre, the parade will showcase an exciting mix of talent – from vibrant American marching bands and energetic cheerleader routines to heart-pounding stunts and dazzling floats. BBC Radio 1 stars Melvin Odoom and Rickie Haywood-Williams will keep the energy high too, spinning live tunes from the iconic London Toot Bus!
The Parade
The parade begins at noon, following a scenic route through central London’s most famous streets. Starting at Piccadilly near Green Park Tube Station, it will pass through Piccadilly Circus, Regent Street St James’s and Trafalgar Square, before wrapping up at Parliament Square via Whitehall. Arrive early for the best viewing spots and to soak up the lively pre-parade atmosphere.
A huge fundraiser
A beloved feature of the parade is the London Boroughs’ Competition, where boroughs from across the city present dazzling performances while raising vital funds for local charities. Over the years, this friendly competition has raised more than £2.5 million for good causes, bringing communities together and spreading goodwill.
With its family-friendly focus, exciting performances, and charitable spirit, London’s New Year’s Day Parade 2025 is the perfect way to start the new year. Whether you’re local or visiting, join us for a day filled with joy, music, and free fun for everyone. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
