There is a park for almost every interest, from fulfilling your teen’s need for speed to letting your toddler’s imagination run wild. Britain’s theme parks have everything you need for a fun-filled family day out or a weekend staycation.

 

LEGOLAND Windsor

Larger-than-life brick creations with millions of pieces will leave them in awe as you explore this wonderland with more than 55 rides and attractions. A portal to LEGO Mythica, an alternate universe and the newest area of the theme park, has recently been discovered. Every time a child builds a LEGO creature, it comes to life in this fantastical parallel world. Soar through the sky in the UK’s first flying theatre ride, Flight of the Sky Lion. After enjoying all of the rides and attractions the park has to offer, be sure to check out the store – it’s the largest in the UK. You’ll have access to exclusive products, a Minifigure Factory to create custom figures and the Mosaic Maker, which will create a custom LEGO portrait of your child with all the bricks required to build it yourself! This is the ultimate park for high speeds, loops, twists and sudden drops. Hop on the UK’s fastest rollercoaster, Stealth, and reach 80mph in under 2 seconds, launching up to 205ft high! Continue riding your adrenaline high and head over to The Swarm, the UK’s first winged rollercoaster with speeds of almost 60mph. For a psychological thrill, try the park’s latest addition, the Black Mirror Labyrinth. The creators behind the Netflix series invite you to playtest the first real-life experience for the hit TV show. You’ll feel as though you’ve stepped into the plotline of one of their mind-bending episodes. Don’t want the fun to end? Spend the night in the Thorpe Shark Hotel. Embrace your family’s wild side at Chessington World of Adventures, a hybrid theme park and zoo. It’s home to more than 40 rides and attractions, and more than 1000 animals in the Zoo and SEA LIFE Centre. Embark on an adventure to Africa on Zufari, an off-road truck journey through the savanna where you’ll come face to face with magnificent animals, including giraffes, zebras and white rhinos. Animal lovers must try the VIP animal experiences, like the giraffe feed, Junior Zoo Keeper Experience and penguin encounter.
