The Chubby Hearts project launched in 2018 with giant balloons suspended over or squashed within London’s landmarks. Anya Hindmarch’s love letter to the city has returned for one week only from Valentine’s Day 2022
Chubby Hearts is a design project by Anya Hindmarch that acts as a love letter to London; a declaration of her love for the city. Rewind back to Valentine’s Day 2018 and 2019 and you may remember giant heart balloons mysteriously appearing across the capital. They have been found at Battersea Power Station, Trafalgar Square, The National Gallery, The Ritz and Covent Garden.
Spreading some more joy and love for Valentine’s Day 2022, you can find the giant heart squeezed into the English Heritage’s Wellington Arch in the middle of the Hyde Park Corner roundabout. Visit from Monday 14 February for one week only.
Speaking on Instagram, the fashion designer said:
The Chubby Heart is back ♥️ After a long couple of years, we thought the return of the Chubby Heart might spread a little much needed love & cheer. For one week only in @englishheritage’s Wellington Arch, Hyde Park Corner.
