Straight to the top

The Shard is a 72-story skyscraper that towers above London Bridge. Begin your journey in one of the world’s fastest lifts, which will take you to Level 68 in under sixty seconds. Here you will find The View from The Shard. Gaze out across London and take in the twists and turns of the River Thames, Tower Bridge and beyond. Enjoy the panoramic views while unwinding with a glass of champagne from the Level 69 observation deck, or spend time with a loved one spotting London’s famous landmarks from the open-air sky deck on Level 72, which is open to the elements and allows you to take in the atmosphere and sounds of the city below.

Dine in style

Sample contemporary British meals with the freshest seasonal ingredients and well-crafted beverages at Aqua Shard. Sit by floor-to-ceiling glass windows for lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and weekend brunch and take in the panoramic views. Head one floor up to Oblix, the sky-high, award-winning restaurant run by Marcus Eaves, who won his first Michelin star at just 27. The restaurant is split into Oblix East and West. For a sophisticated evening of fine dining, opt for Oblix West – it’s perfect for date night. Alternatively, Oblix East offers equally top-notch food with a livelier atmosphere. You can also enjoy a drink without a sit-down meal if that’s what you’re looking for.

On level 33, Hutong serves northern Chinese cuisine inspired by the much-loved restaurant of the same name in Hong Kong. Eat like those in the imperial palaces of Peking once did. Tuck into dishes from the signature, experience or a la carte menus while taking in the traditional surroundings. For more Asian-fusion dishes, book a table at the fine dining restaurant, TĪNG, accessible via the Shangri-La The Shard entrance. Serving up time-honoured Asian cuisine and classic British gastronomy, the modern menu is inspired by the best of both cultures.

If it’s just a drink you’re after, check out Bar 31. It’s a great spot to unwind with a few drinks and is a dog-friendly setting too. Stop for a welcomed respite from exploring the city or an evening drink or two. Enjoy excellent homemade snacks while socialising with other animal pals. Alternatively, GŎNG is London’s highest hotel bar and offers luxurious surroundings on level 52. Share tapa-style plates and sip sunset cocktails or late-night drinks against the spectacular skyline backdrop.

Room with a view

Staying in London doesn’t get much better than with a stay at Shangri-La The ShardLondon. The hotel occupies 18 floors of the building. Soaring at 125 metres high, you can connect to the whole city thanks to the panoramic views overlooking the River Thames, Tate Modern, Shakespeare’s Globe, St Paul’s Cathedral and beyond. This is luxury at towering new heights. Swim in the highest hotel pool in western Europe while here, or indulge in afternoon tea with a unique Asian twist.

Within the hotel is Sky Lounge, an elegant and relaxed setting to unwind and socialise in style. It boasts a delectable menu of light bites, a luxury Sunday Brunch experience and an impressive selection of drinks, including signature Veuve Clicquot cocktails to help toast to any occasion. It will be a stay you remember forever.
