Conquer the Hercules, an outdoor obstacle course. Race against your friends and family or try to compete for the top spot on the leader board. Tackle the ninja wall, crawl under cargo nets and swing over water to get to the finish line. There are also pop-up activities such as yoga and family dance classes. These are held early some mornings; check online for dates and times. Finally, chill out at Claude’s café with one of their amazing ice creams, and have a go at the Table Tennis corner. Open 24 Jul-15 Aug.

The museum’s vintage fairground rides will also be open to all. Rides include swing boats, coconut shy, high strikers and chair-o-planes for the little ones. The season will close with the Spitfire 10K. Run through the museum, across Hendon Airfield and down streets that formerly were Spitfire landing strips, on 28 August.

It will also be held virtually – giving runners from all over the UK, and across the world, the opportunity to run for a Battle of Britain pilot.
