Spend quality time with loved ones at these London restaurants with the perfect romantic atmosphere for Valentine’s Day. 14 Hills is a Valentine’s Day classic with both garden and city views in this jungle-themed 14th-floor bar and restaurant. Don’t miss their 4-course Valentine’s Day menu, which includes a glass of champagne. Prefer ambient lighting? Instead, try cosying up at Ayllu. This Peruvian and Japanese fusion restaurant sets the mood with dark green walls, elaborate decor and soft lighting. Flowers are a Valentine’s Day essential, and Clos Maggiore has you covered. This flower-filled conservatory is an excellent setting to enjoy modern French cuisine with your significant other.

Dinner and a show

Heading to a show after dinner is a date-night classic, and London’s West End has a collection of the world’s best theatre productions to choose from. Have the time of your life at Dirty Dancing! This iconic love story is returning to London just in time for Valentine’s Day, beginning 2 February. Another theatre option for ABBA fans is Mamma Mia, the show that celebrates love, music and friendship. Experience the West End’s most haunting romance with Phantom of the Opera, one of London’s longest-running shows. Find out more about winter West End shows here.

Love is in the air

Get some fresh air and take a romantic stroll through one of London’s many parks, gardens and green spaces. Head to the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew for the annual orchid festival from 5 February to 6 March, just in time for Valentine’s Day! Take in the brilliant colours as you wander hand in hand through the garden and enjoy the series of art installations on display. Or, if you prefer to stay in Central London, try climbing Primrose Hill for a stunning view of the London skyline. Afterwards, head back down the hill to enjoy the rest of Regent’s Park where you can enjoy the ZSL London Zoo and Queen Mary’s Gardens.

Channel Elle Woods with your pinkest outfit and head to the Legally Blonde Galentine’s Brunch at Neverland London. Enjoy bottomless pink Prosecco and a special brunch menu with your closest friends. Another option for your more competitive friends is Palentine’s Day Shuffle Brunch at the London Shuffle Club. Get your team together for bottomless sourdough pizza and prosecco or beer for an afternoon of fast-paced fun. Wear your heart on your sleeve at The Berkeley’s Prêt-à-Portea: The Couture Cakewalk for tea and cakes inspired by designers from Balenciaga to Gucci.
