City Cruises’ Showboat Dinner Cruises are back, in a move that will enthuse tourism partners and hotels across the capital.

The three-hour cruise paused during the government-mandated lockdown.

Prior to booking, you can opt for a Champagne Package for Two, which is perfect if you’re celebrating an occasion.

All ages are invited to join the party, and you can choose to dress up or wear more casual attire.

The trip begins at Westminster Pier, where you are treated to a complimentary drink on arrival.

The boat’s open top deck rewards you with unimpeded views of the Tower of London, Houses of Parliament and the London Eye.

You then take your seats in the saloon for a four-course dinner.

Huge panoramic windows provide unparalleled views of the city.

Meanwhile, London’s Illuminated Rivers project means that some of the most famous sights are lit up in spectacular fashion.

If you’re hoping for something a little sweeter, book an afternoon tea cruise, or a lunch cruise for a midday treat.

Covid-19 measures

City Cruises takes passenger safety incredibly seriously, so it has taken appropriate measures to allay your fears and protect you while on-board.

It has therefore qualified for Visit Britain’s WE’RE GOOD TO GO mark of approval, as well as AA’s COVID-19 confident kitemark.

Capacity has been capped to ensure social distancing.

Hand sanitiser is available throughout the boat and staff wearing personal protective equipment are happy to assist with queries or concerns.

Staff also disinfect the boat regularly, particularly areas identified as ‘touch points,’ such as bannisters and table surfaces.

Due to government regulations, the cruise has temporarily replaced live performers with background music. This is due to circumstances out of the control of City Cruises. The situation is monitored daily.

Essential information

Prices start from £81 per person, which includes half a bottle of wine.

Champagne packages for two start from £207.

Cruises depart from Westminster Pier from Thursday to Sunday weekly from 7.45pm.
