Remember the Van Gogh immersive art experience? A brand-new exhibition will soon arrive in east London; read on to find out all about it
Gustav Klimt is one of history’s greatest artists who worked during the so-called golden era of Modernism; you’ll no doubt recognise his artwork The Kiss. Klimt is the subject matter of a new 20,000-square-foot spectacle of light and sound that opens in Brick Lane’s The Boiler House in August.
Klimt: The Immersive Experience (from 3 Aug) features two-story projections of the Austrian artist’s most compelling artworks. This completely digital, hands-free exhibition is fantastic for all ages. Walk through separate galleries that chronicle his life, technique and influence, and see larger-than-life moving recreations of his work. Encounter the brilliance of one of history’s greatest artists in 360 degrees.
Total Artistic Immersion
Klimt: The Immersive Experience features a unique Virtual Reality component, too. Go on a ten-minute journey through a day in the life of the artist. Walk alongside Klimt during this peaceful, visually-rich experience to discover the inspiration behind eight of his iconic works.
